My name is Mike Hedrick and I’ve been living with schizophrenia since I was 20. I’ve written for the New York Times, The Washington Post, Scientific American, PsychCentral and numerous other places on the topic. In my work I’ve kind of been assigned as a default expert having lived with and experienced the illness in all its facets and myriad iterations.
My aim with this blog is to support, educate, and help any one who has been diagnosed and is seeking some kind of guidance for dealing with the hugeness of the whole thing.
If you’d like to contribute your story send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll see what I can do.
